What's up with my new fish?

I recently purchased a yellow clown goby (1") and an engineer goby (1.5") for my 10g nano. Now before you guys give me the what for, I was under the impression engineers stayed around 2", but I soon found out the website was wrong!

Regardless, the yellow clown stays under one rock, the same rock, all. damn. day. I don't know if he has eaten. The same applies to the engineer. He was originally in a big tank with another engineer, but now he just sits off in the corner. ALL DAY!

I don't know what's going on with them.

They sound like they are acting pretty normal. Once they get used to the surroundings they'll come out a little more.

Oh. I'm just concerned they may not eat. I've had them for 2 days now, lights off majority of the time. There is a lot of live rock caves and tunnels, but still.

I'll take your word then :)

I'll echo what the others have said in regards to the YWG taking some time to move about. When I got my guy he found a cave area and I had to really fight to even see the tip of his head, and he would stay there all the time. He came out a bit for eating time.

3-4 weeks later and I see him a lot more now. He's pretty funny, if any other tank mate comes near his cave I can see him open up his mouth real wide like he's in complete shock and he'll stay like that until the encounter is over. I've never seen him be aggressive with anything though.

I don't have a watchmen though, I have a yellow clown goby. Unless theyre the same thing just sold under different monikers. Regardless, he rarely moves.

I had a green clown goby and everyday it was fun searching for him. they do tend to hide alot but he will be fine.

Give them time indeed. Mine changed behavior when I introduced a new fish, and eventually returned to their normal self a few weeks later.
