Ralph, sorry to hear Mike is helping... J/K hey, I have tons of stuff I need to unload. You guys need to hit the cash machine and stop over. I plan to just keep frags of my favorite stuff and get rid of the bulk stuff for now.

Hey whats poppin.
Actually Dale, that isnt Ralph, this is my buddy Jason. Ralph just had the baby so he got out of salt for the time being, hes setting up the 72 bowfront as freshwater.
We will have to set up a day to stop by your place and check things out. Maybe Friday evening? Or will you still be involved in holiday matters? Do you have any fish left that you are getting rid of? Im looking for some.
Anyways, Jasons tank is being started with rock from Ralphs, so its all cured and ready to go, so hes not really gonna have to wait long before getting stuff in. His lighting will be here early to mid next week, hes got some T-5s coming, and I think we will order a cleanup crew online for him early next week as well.
Also, I have been talking to him about building a HOB refugium. Im wondering if you might be able to help out with building an acrylic tank. The dimensions would be wierd, 30-35" long, 6-8" wide and about 18" tall. Any estimate how much that might run? You know how trying to build a "welfare tank" goes. I was also thinking of building it out of glass, any suggestions?

Oh yea by the way Dale, I told Jason to talk to you about something. Somebody bought him a wine making kit like a year or 2 ago, and he never used it because he didnt know what to do. I said youd be the guy to talk to.

And Paul, I was wondering if you still had frags from "The Great Trimming".

My bad, I "assumed" again... sorry I missed your call too but I don't live and breathe on my cell so when I get home it sits in my truck. I have a yellow tang, pair of tomato clowns, LMB, bi-color blenny, serpent star, and a CB shrimp along with most of my large coral colonies all needing a home. I'm starting a nation-wide sandtrade so I need the space in the rubbermaid Stock tank. I want to get rid of the bulk stuff and keep frags. I'll get new LR and sand when I restart but keep my fav's in the nano for near future history. The sand trade starts next week so I need to get stuff out. I also have a big cheato ball and some caulerpa from the fuge that I want to thin down. They are crawling with pods!

Alright Paul, I wanna stop over Dales to help him clear his stuff out first, but Id like to stop by your place maybe sometime next week to check out what youve got left, if that works for you? Since my buddy is just getting started, Id like to try and start him out with some easy frags, plus I might like some myself :D.

stacker i need some of this .. big cheato ball and some caulerpa ... and what corals you have ? any pics.. i may be intrested in a few shortly..

Favia (other stuff is not for sale in the nano)

I have YSP, MSP, GSP, green paly's, tan paly's, and other misc soft stuff.

The large coral colonies are residing on LR pieces from a lb. or to to over 5 lbs.

I'm running a sand trade right now and am getting 2 cup batched in from all over the country. I'need to atleast remove the large LR pieces so I have sand space. That or bury them in the sand for now.

If you have any ric's id be intrested in them.. maybe some shrooms ... and frog spawns.. im going to stay away from some of the other stuff for now and just keep the very low maintnace corals.. as i dont have a ton of time to devote to my tank.. working 2 jobs now.. i might be able to use some small to rubble rock peices covered in Coraline to help start me back up as well.. do you have any use for an iwakie pump or panworld pump? i have 2 brand new one does like 1100-1500 gph and one does like 2500 gph.. im also looking for a mod for my big berlin skimmer to hang on the back of my tank instead of a sump again.. to many worrys with overflow..

You need to contact Paul for Rics. I just fragged my frogspawn and hammer for Jamokie and they need time to rebound before I hack of any more. I really don't have any rubble I want to part with, just pieces from fist size and up. No, I have no need for any pumps. A hang-on bracket fot a skimmer would be no problem to make quickly.

Alright Dale,
How do you feel about building a refugium for Jason? The dimensions would be 36" long 18" tall and 6" wide. We want to set it up with a small pump or powerhead run inside the right side of the refugium pulling water from the tank, this way we can setup something to skim the top of his water. There would need to be 2 dividers to prevent macro from clogging the pump or draining back out into the tank. Heres a fun 2 minute Windows Paint representation or what Im layin down for ya.

Ill take care of making a spout and drilling for an inlet, we just need the tank itself built. Whaddaya think?

Simple and should be pretty easy yo make. I'll check on material cost and let you knwo what it plus a 12 pack for labor is! :)

I'll make the main tank piece from a single piece then add the baffles and end caps. The return spout can also be be an easy cut, make a couple thermal bends and glue into place. Might cost another 6 pack.... LOL

I have one simple question.. Light for the fuge? Are you using a PC or a strip light, or a twist socket fluo? I can easily add mounting tabs or bracketry for the light too.

BTW, I got an order for 2 MJ-Mods so I'll be adding a bit olf black magic mojo repair to your pumps very soon.

Ok fellas plastic will hit for about $40. I'll make you a whizzbang fuge for $50 and a 12 pack. Lemme know

Sounds good. The exact height of the tank is 16 3/4. So the spout would have to be just above that but not too high so as to cause splashing. You can start it whenever youve got time to do so.

Thanks Dale.

What about the lip extending in, over the tank rim, then down to the water level or just below? No sense in not eh?
