whats with my zoas

So i noticed some pests on my zoa so i did a coral dip and problem solved well i noticed this clam shell looking thing and i have no clue what it is and none of my other zoas have this...what is it?

Grab the base firmly and place a sharp knife on the clam's base and gently push it to the left, scraping the clam off.
If the zoas are growing on the clam's shell you would have to simply cut off the zoas from it and pull the clam off.

Please be careful with palytoxin!!!
Make sure you've got protection while doing that (goggles, gloves and keep your mouth shut.

it was indeed a clam. there was only one tiny zoa polp on it so i just cut it off...not sure what type in clam it is tho...would anyone be able to tell me if it good to keep a clam or not
 
i would put it in a spot away from all your stuff. mussells seem to get sticky stuff on everything but clams seem better.
 
i put him in the sand last night and woke up with it in a hole at the base of my live rock...all my corals are up high but ill keep an eye on him
