Whats with this funky growth!

Im hating this branch on my Lokani colony:lmao: . It has no polyps, look nothing like the rest of the branches but keeps getting bigger...and bigger..... Any ideas why its growing like this???

arent those polyps on the very tips?? No idea why it would grow like that though

I don't think its a lokani I have an acro the looks just like that and its a cranberry color. I also have a lokani which doesn't look like it in anyway IMO.

I think it is closer to a caroliniana which mainly has polyps on the tips but not on the faces of the branches.
If it were a caroliniana that is perfectly OK.

i was thinking it but didn't want to be the sick mined one that brought it out in the open. i'll take a frag of that coral...just not that piice
