Whats wrong with my leather?

Does anybody know what is wrong with my leather? It has been like this for a 2 weeks now and it is growing what looks like algae on it.

Hi I had the same problem with one of my leather, after alot of research and advie from here I was told to move it to a location with fast flow because it needs to shed its skin as it grows and water fast floe helps it to. Mine is very happy now and when it sheds its skin it only takes a couple of hours and its allways the first out on a morning and the last to go in on a night, hope this helps.

So do you think I should put a powered directly on it then? I put my weekend one pointed at it and it still hasn't done anything, I guess ill try the stronger one lol thank you for your help!
