oh ouch
have u lost any from the infection?
i think i have come across zoa pox before and it looked exactly like that but im no profesional
are those a new addition to the tank? if so i would yank them out quick to prevent any spreading
They're new but have been in the tank for about a week. Right now they're in a bucket. I also have Tub's but haven't seen the spots on them. Hopefully I won't! Anyone else confirm?
Not an issue at all. Nuclear Greens and Purple Deaths are palythoas and have very sticky outer surfaces. They will snag any sand or substrate near them. Nothing to worry about. I have yet to see a Nuclear Green or Purple death have zoa pox.
The texture of the base of both the Palythoa and Protopalythoa is rough from the incorporation of sand and sediment directly in the tissue. The assimilation of the material is thought to be both for defense and support.
