what's wrong with my pump?!?!?!?!?!?

pumps plenty of water, especially when i plug the venturi. that's why i don't understand what's going on.

whoa whoa.. look at the other end of the airline tubing.. is there ANYTHING that is restricting the airflow? Like a muffler/filter/silencer of some sort? The airline tubing HAS to be just that - airline tubing. No muffler no nothing. Try it again without the muffler (if you have any)

Also the airline tubing sometimes look clear but they're not. Salt buildup can be transparent too..

i'm testing it with no silencer and have cleared the line several times by blowing in it and using a brand new line. i'll try it again tonight and let you know if i find anything.

I think that the air tube needs to have a sharp end to it for the venturi...

Or on some others have a chamber where air can get in...

The air needs to get in... sounds like you are getting no air..

My pump already had a venturi in it, so it was easy.

People have made venturis.. there are pics on the mesh mod thread. It doesnt look like you chose the right mesh though...

I paid five bucks for mine on ebay, and the thread shows you how to get a sample mailed to you for free.

problem solved... i'm such an IDIOT!!!

read here... bonehead story

and by the way, the gutter guard material works excellant and i have a huge amount if anyone would like to swing by to try it out.
