Whats wrong with my Scoly?

I got this guy only 3 days ago now from a LFS. In the store he looked nice and healthy and really bloated. Since I put him in my tank, one side is really depressed and sunk in. Not sure what exactly could be bothering him.

I have him on the sand bed under 2x250 HQI, and around 33gph of flow per gallon of tank water.

Also I have another scoly about a foot from this one which looks really healthy..

Pics of both:

My best guest is that the flow isn't dispersed enough. That looks like he's getting blasted. Even if it's not a lot; it's too much for him. Is the green one farther down stream?

Great piece, btw.

You know thats what I thought too, but hes really not in a high flow area at all. The powerheads are pointed at the top half of the tank and hes way at the bottom.. I even moved him once also thinking that its the flow but hes really not being hit much at all

That's freaky. Turn him 180 degrees so it's facing away from the front viewing panel. If it's still the same side that's deflated, it's a flow problem.

Try putting a flat piece of LR or a small plate in the sand right next to him to block most of the flow.

I have a brain that does the same thing. He's at the bottom in a front corner of my 55. I have a k4 on the opposite side of the tank at the very top. The water does a "C" shaped thing off the glass to the bottom corner he's in. The flow looks close to nothing but it all but tears the flesh off his septa. I put the koralia on the brain side (still near the surface) and he has fine.

Mystery things are the worst. Just brainstorming here...

Yep, it was flow, which I am really suprised about because it doesnt seem to me like a high flow area.. but you were right :)

i moved him and hes nice and plump
