whats wrong with my Stockman standpipe

Is there anything I can do to reduce the amount of noise through the pipes? Now that my overflow is pretty quiet, I can hear the water rushing down the pipes.

you could reduce the amount of flow. Many people think that they must put the most water they can through their sump. All you need to pass through the sump is whats needed to feed your skimmer and to pass over your heaters and carbon etc. additional flow can be produced in the display in many other ways.

right now, I think im only running about 300gph through the sump. Im running a Mag7, through about 3ft of 1" PVC, and a SCWD. I dont think that is too much flow.

are the drain lines rigid pvc or spa flex. Switching to spa flex will deaden the sound quite a bit.
