What's wrong with my Watchman Goby?

He hides in his home pretty much all day every day. I see him about once a week, and when he came out, I managed to get this picture.

He has lost some of his color, and his fins look pretty bad too.

Can anyone tell me what is wrong? Does he have a disease or is he just stressed and scared?

How long have you had him? Does he have any discolored spots or white specs on him, or just full body fading? In my limited experience, they can be really shy for the first few weeks. Once I got mine a Pistol Shrimp to go with it....he became much more comfortable.

Any chance the starry blenny is picking on him? They can be kind of obnoxious.

I have had him about 2 months. I don't think the Starry Blenny has been picking on him, I haven't seen any aggression out of the Blenny at all.

As to SweetTang's question, he doesn't have ick, no salt on his scales, just full body fading.

From my research it is mostly because of stress. I have been looking around trying to find a pistol shrimp to protect him, but nobody around me has one and 1 shrimp obviously doesn't meet the minimum cost requirement to purchase one online...
