im not sure what exactly they are yet
but anyway
is there anything wrong with them.
not because the polyps are closed up
this was taken after the light were out
they fully open during the day
if u look in between each stem,it looks like the skin is coming off or like a layer is being shedded
also theres a bubble looking thingy on one of the lower polyps

this is normal, its part of the photosynthesis process. after taking in nutrients all day this is the way they sleep/digest the nutrients. in the morning when lights are back on they will open up. REEF-ON!!!

well to refresh
I know that its normal for them to close up but whats the extra skin coming off and whats that bublble looking thing on the lower polyps?

It's like there shielding . The bubble stuff looks like new growth Forming them together. I would blow them off with a power head

Great palys that is Normal for the to shed. Very common in the wild where you live but here on the mainland we pay a good buck for them. Gold Dust PE or Chameleon PE what people call them.

The colony I had, had the samething around the stolens of the polyps. As far as I could tell it was normal for this type of polyp, I slowly took it off and also blew it off. Well I have lost my whole colony of these along with my RPEs that were mixed in with them to infection. I dipped but it did nothing....I would just leave it alone if they are acting normal.
