What's your favorite nano fish?

I've recently setup an 8 gallon biocube and never had a nano tank with fish so wondering what everyones favorite nano fish are? Where did you get them?

I've looked on liveaquaria and seen a few I liked but I'm thinking there has to be way more options.

Thanks dudes!

Yasha goby paired with a candy cane pistol shrimp. That's probably capacity for 8 gallons. Some barnacle blennies are cool too.

Yea I was thinking 1 fish 1 shrimp although most people don't recommend bonded pairs in less then a 30 gallon so was gauging what others have experience with.

Yellow Clown Goby from LFS. It just such a unique fish to me and doesn't bother the other fish. Love my clown fish too :)

This little guy. Put him in about a month ago. Hopefully I'll get a 2017 sighting.

Awesome! I forget what that's call, but if memory serves they run about $200. I think they are also from Catalina and are a cold water goby.

It's a flaming prawn goby and from the name it doesn't sound like a cold water species lol. Mine was about 50 bucks and is about three quarters of an inch. Probably not a great decision for a 75 gallon but I've always wanted one.

red scooter blenny for the win. Still have yet to own one but they are so nice lol.
I am also interested in Wrasses, they are very nice looking.

red scooter blennies are actually dragonets and are not appropriate for nano tanks. For an 8 gallon tank, I would not do anything other than maybe a clown goby or other small goby.

Good to know and I did not read the OP's post, just replied based on thread title:facepalm:

Probably one of these two guys... look at the teeth on the green clown goby! The yellow was also on the Mag Float, out of focus in the foreground.

Go with a goby/shrimp pair, Yellow Goby or a Green Clown Goby.
I had a Yasha/Candy Cane in a 14g BioCube and just purchased a Yellow Watchman/Tiger for a 12g NanoCube yesterday evening.
If you go with the Green Clown or Yellow Goby just make sure it is eating at the store before you bring it home.

Both pairs were purchased at LFS. Yasha/Candy Cane were about $75. Watchman/Tiger were $32

I successfully kept the Yasha/Candy Cane pair for two years in the 14g BioCube before selling everything off. If you decide to go with a goby/shrimp pair I would recommend these two as both the Yasha Goby and Candy Cane Pistol Shrimp only get up to two to three inches, possibly four onches tops for the shrimp.

I've read most people say no less then 30G for the fish shrimp pairs?
I think a yasha candy cane combination would work because they are small. I wouldn't recommend the tiger pistol shrimp as it grows bigger and digs way more. Also, the yellow watchman would likely outgrow a pico tank.
