When can you add clams to a newer tank?

the general rule is 6 months to a year. clams need stable params and newly cycled tanks can have fluctuations.

as long as your water is stable, water parmas. check okay, strong lighting and all other corals/fish are doing good, I think you can add clam.

I waited 3.5 months to add my clam which some people would say is blasphemy towards all clam kind. I tested my water parameters every other day for the entire time, researched the living crap out of clams and waited till I had coralline algae popping up on the back wall and glass of the tank. My two croceas are doing fantastically one for over a year and 5 months and the other for nine months. Almost picked up another yesterday but resisted.

But like a4twenty said most people wait 6 months to a year.
