When do clowns spawn?

Is there a certain age or size that they will start spawning? Is there certain conditions needed?

Clowns spawn on their own schedule. Some 1 year some 5 years. It is very random. But once they start to breed, they keep breeding as long as all parameters stay constant.

It is a hard question to answer!

My ocellaris started a little over 2 years.

My maroons just started spawning 2 months ago or so..

Male is about 1 1/2 years old. (im going by when its stripes colored out to yellow, when i got him he was less than a half inch)

The female id guesstimate at about 2 - 2 1/2 yrs old. She went thru an insane growth spurt and not long after they started spawning.

You can really only try to go by what others tanks are like and try to guess what they like in order to spawn. But my guess is stability. feeding them at the same time every day, lights on timers, keep temp the same, dont have mean tank mates... that kind of stuff

try dropping your salinity to 1.0017 and raise the temp to 80. Also try a 12hr light cycle, and live brine for a few days.
