NO do not douple copper

AND NO do not run any type of UV, Carbon......

What type of copper are you using? Hopefully in a seperate tank...

I wasn't talking about doubling copper medications... I have one copper based medication and a second medication that is supposedly reef safe and contains no copper. They are in a QT tank of course. I have read in multiple places that UV sterilizers CAN be effective in killing the free-swimming dinospores. What is the reason behind not using one?

Seachem recommends that the UV be turned off during Cupramine treatment.
The UV disrupts protein molecules and thus would disrupt the Cupramine formula. This exposes the copper and makes it more lethal/poisonous to the marine organisms. In essence, the person turning a UV on this product is converting it to a free copper, like copper in a copper-salt treatment.

I would use cupramine and keep the level at .5 for the full treatment. NO UV during treatment

Why would you want to use a copper and a reef safe product? The copper will work better than any of those reef safe ones that do not work.
