i was wondering when the c-sea christmas party is ive met a few of you and want to go

Wait, let me get this straight. you met a few members and you still WANT to go? Have you been hitting the Ms. Wages Lime powder a little hard lately? =)

Unless some scheduling conflict comes up which is rare, it is on the third Friday, December 15th, 7:30 PM at the Aquatics building, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Party, raffles, cookies, food.

lol its nice to talk to people about these things and not have to explain everything in the tank and how it lives

ok the 15th on my calender thanks

Just looking at the website to see if the Christmas party was mentioned yet. No critique meant, just observing that the Nov. announcement shows up on the page I visited, unless I am getting an old page stored on my computer. Also the meeting map does not show the Fulton Road closing routes.

Here is a link to the new map from the zoo website.

Hope that helps!

P. S. I have a 1000 watt light stand (for painting) that could bounce off the ceiling to lighten up that dark area when we try to read our winning raffle tickets. I wonder if there would be electrical outlets for about a 10 amp load that we could get permission to use??? I won't bring it unless I find out that it's cleared with George or whoever from the Zoo will be hosting us.

Dan, you haven't been to a meeting in a long time, the christams party is going to be different this year. It will have a large livestock raffle and a small dry goods raffle. Were not going to hit up vendors twice a year for donations any longer. Just going to concentrate on the frag swap for donations this year.

That has been the predictable and desireable direction the raffle has been going for a long time. It does have to change with the times. Because of real or imagined fears of "phantom" clubs, many of our past hardgoods donators now link their donations to a publicised weekend, two or three day event through some middleman like http://www.kingfishservices.net/ or some other grouping http://petsforum.com/ Plus many other manufacturers have been bought out or simply closed, so there are not as many "doors to knock on" as there used to be.

There will be a lot more people at the swap so it makes sense to make that change too, putting hardgoods where the interest in them is the most. Look on the bright side, more time at the December meeting to party, talk, and eat! And a bigger live raffle!
