When to reseal

Hey Reefers,

As posted many times before I'm still setting up. I purchased a used 35g tank off Kijiji to turn into a sump. It cost me 40$.

There is a id tag on the tank and it was manufactured in 1999. Last night I filled it up to check for leaks and give it an initial scrub down. No leaks were found and the water level was the same this morning. Woohoo!!!

Anyways. I emptied it not long ago to give it a final scrub down and install my baffles. I know that the tank has been resealed before as the silicone Job isn't factory nice (a few blobs here and there around the seams).

So for those of you asking if you should reseal your tank or when does it need to be done here is a pic of a seam about to leak.

When purchasing a used tank please make sure to inspect every inch of the seams. I got lucky and noticed it before my final install
