When will my starfish die?

I have a serpant star that is being eaten. It has a hole in the top of it's head, a giant hole between two of its legs (wow sounds like a woman)haha....sorry.......Umm and is missing a couple of leg tips too. Its still crawling around like nothing is the matter and my water is testing fine. Will it rejuvenate (spelling) on its own or will it die slowly? Thanks for all of your help. db

Umm, well that would depend on what is eating it and if it has stopped eating it. Care to elaborate?

Ya, Im pretty sure its my bicolored angel. Ive seen it pick at it before but its really been torn into between its legs. Its not in the favorite "pathway" of the angel anymore. It finally moved. Have to see if it gets better. thanks. db

My ex had a similar problem, and the damn star regrew and was doing better than ever, I think it happened to the starfish twice, though it was a brittle star. Good luck with yours.
