When will the reidi pop

I had him a week. when will the babys come. what signs do i look for. The belly is super big. I feel sorry for my two females in the tank. The male was pegnat when i got him the females are black and when they go by him they turn the color of the male. the male does not want anything to do with the girls.

The gestation for H. reidi is about 14 days but it is temperature dependent. He will take an interest in the females once he pops. Most likely he will have them in the morning, you won't have long to wait now.

then I got this right after midnight (I stayed up waiting for the big event):

He had them i was not home. they all went to the top and got sucked in the skimmer box. Only fond one alive it died a day later next time i will be ready. The male is hanging around the females alot more now.

I turned my skimmer off for the nite. oh well, maybe next time...sorry to hear about all your losses
