I agree, the only time search works is before 8 am.

And you know the worst part is, the sucky search rubs off on me on my other sites. I'll be surfing, say, my woodworking forums, or home theater sites, etc. and I'll think to myself how I'd really like to be able to search and look up something. And then, I'll have like a deja-vu deal, and realize I'm not on reef central, and that I actually CAN search. Happens to be every so often. Pretty funny.

PS. I'd like someone to change the wording on the search from "temporarily disabled" to something else more appropriate. I honestly think they just take off the function during the day totally.

Well, either I just have the magic touch or you guys are really over exagerating. I successfully use the search all hours of the day. Half the times I'm not even logged in when searching so it's definitely not because of my account.

My message above was at 3:40pm and just before typing it in, I ran all the searches that I mentioned in there. It's 12:06pm right now...I just ran all of the searches I posted above again.

It's now 12:54pm, this is what I got when I tried search:

"Sorry. The search function has been temporarily disabled due to high server load. Please try your search again in a few minutes. Other site features will still be functional."

I agree, this is all I ever get. luminary, you must just have the special touch or something.

Why would you be able to access search without being logged in?

My wife must be logged in then...sometimes I just hop on the browser while she's logged in to the computer...just assumed noone was logged in since she never posts. Sorry for the misinfo.

Sorry to disrupt the direction the thread was headed in....But I had a great time in Tampa and enjoyed the LFS's. Makes me wish I still lived there. I hope to visit again some time soon.
