Where are the feeder shrimp?

Hello everybody. I am keeping my first reef tank right now that will eventually be my refuge for a much larger tank (90g-ish).
I am putting money aside for the project and I will take all the advice and help I can get.
For the time being I would just like to know where I could find some live feeder shrimp. I think I would like to breed shrimp and pods to feed my tank.
Thank you

+ I just looked into coral fragging and realized that I have SO much more to learn about marine tanks.
If someone with experience would like to counsel me and help me with the layout of my next tank I AM ALL EARS. I have a creative eye but I don't yet know how to set a marine tank up properly.

yeah, me too. lol
I am setting aside a "build-A bad-A tank" fund. I should be able to get it going in about 2 or 3 paychecks (1-2 months).

Have you priced out tanks here yet? The tank alone will set you back a pretty penny. BTW, I will have a complete 55gl acrylic set up for sale here shortly. My new 75 is pretty much done and I have to get rid of the current 55 to make room. Also, Welcome to RC and to the "gang"

I've looked at a few tanks and will probably end up having one made.
Where did you get a 75g from?
Care to post pics and details of your 55?
Thank you, very happy to have found this great bunch of people.

Have you priced having one made yet? How much and where did you go?

Jeff had the 75 fall in his lap.. literally, he got it for free.. ze bastard.. lol

As for pods, just get some chaeto from Jeff, Mike or I ...or a few others around here have some of 'the good stuff' and put some flow to it...some light and they will grow.

Why are you worried about breeding pods? Shrimp?

I'm going to be making some food this weekend and will be selling it 'per baggie' to pretty much pay off the materials/food to make it...it will contain about anything in it to feed anything in the tank. My fish and my coral go nuts over it.

No, I havent gotten as far as getting prices for custom tanks yet. I'm keeping an eye out for who to talk to. I really only wanted to know where I could get some shrimp just so I would not have set up this nice tank with no (or very expensive) means to feed it.
It looks like you guys can hook me up with the food and eventually I can grow my own.
Good deal.

yeah, I wouldnt worry to much about breeding pods. just my thoughts...

not to mention, if you use natural sea water (NSW) you probably wouldnt need to worry about pods anyways. (another + to using NSW)

Hey partner, I'm all for buying some!! Let me know when you're done...I'm looking to get rid of a white spoted brown grouper for a firend...interested?:eek1:

I made some, but what I had made only ended up making about 3 bags worth... I was expecting to get about 10 bags or so out of it. whoops.

Thnak anyways partner, just let me know if you ever make "extra" if there really is such a thing in reefing... :)
