where can I get a free cpr course in orlando?

its a long story, but my work is screwing me really bad and I need to find a refresher course in the next 2 weeks. Any ideas?

Call the fire or police departments and ask them where you could go. They will know.

the really bad thing about this is that I am a certified red cross cpr trainer. Was sent there by my work. But they now tell me I am 2 weeks out of cert for my refresher course and have to do it in the next 2 weeks or I am going to get written up.

This sounds strange but I'd maybe also call disney. they have lots of lifeguards at their hotel pools (unless you work there) ..

I got certified ages and ages ago at a pool at my local high school so you might check if any schools have trainers who are certified tod o that

Yea I work at disney and we do courses, but I think it is only for employees...

I know how you can renew for 25 bucks. You take an exam online then go to the place for the demo. It was very easy. I got the card the same day.

see the thing is that they threw this at me at the last minute. Said I had to go next wed (already have important stuff to do on that day) and was told I could go elseware for the reup. But they would not pay for it. I am out of principle not going to pay for it. I think I can do what they call a "cpr challenge" with the red cross, basically a one time pass/fail drill to see if I know what I am doing without taking a class. I am not sure, but I think its for trainers only.

get hired at disney for a part time job that requires cpr. They will pay you to get it done! Thats what I did when I became a personal trainer.

Just call the fire dept, they can get you in touch with a course somewhere local just about any day of the week...

I called OFD and left a messege, but have not heard back from them yet.

Have you called any local hospitals? I know they have cpr class almost every day at the hospital my wife works at. I don't know if it's free to just anyone though. It's worth a call.

Call the local redcross. They have these types of classes often.
