I found some at home depot. It was REALLY hard to find but I kept looking because I knew it was somewhere. Found it in the Packaging supplies section.

As for the attachment to glass....Maybe silicone it?

Home Depot has it. If you ask them for 'egg crate' they won't know what your talking about you have to ask them for the crate that goes over ceiling light fixtures like the ones they have in business buildings.

Look in HD or Lowes in the ceiling tile section. It is used in the lighting fixtures which are recessed and most often found in suspended ceilings.

Are you attaching it to glass like as in a frag shelf? If so, a lot of people glue the shelf to a cleaning magnet and use that to hold the shelf to the glass.

If you don't have a home depot near you try a lumber yard. In my town the hardware store did not carry it, but the lumber yard did.

The odd thing is that at my home depot the actual description of the item is "egg crating" which is why it's funny that they don't know what it's called, but that's probably because most people buying it are lighting guys and don't need to ask. And before you ask...don't get the silver..it's painted on!...just get the white.

One thing..I personally woudn't attach anything to your glass. Not sure what you're doing with it, but for a jump guard it can just sit on the top, anything else I'd leave it free standing. It does superglue to itself amazingly strong if you need to build a cage, but the product itself is pretty fragile from certain angles. I also use pvc to hang it or sit it on.

I bought a 4X2 section at Lowes in the ceiling lights section and can corroborate that none of the employees knew what I was talking about. Not sure what you're doing with it, but I saw someone put it on the bottom of the tank, before adding the sand to provide an additional barrier between any rock and the glass (in the event you have a real shallow bed). It seems like a good idea for this, but not sure if it will interfere with any livestock.

Here is the eggcrate shelf I placed in my tank before adding sand. I have a 5" DSB, so it has been glued to 4" black PVC stilts. I filled the ends of the PVC with REEF-SAFE silicone glue, then used a small drop to glue them to the bottom glass so they don't float. As you can see, it supports my rock-scape nicely.

no they dont carry black, only white.

price isnt that much different if you order it from bulkreefsupply. Plus if you add other great items they sell the shipping wont be an issue.
