Calculated?...no...but I'm currently running a PM622 with 2nd stage and it is max'd. I've just purchased a Geo 816 that should keep me going, and I just brought my Kalk reactor back online last night.
I can't think of any reason why other people shouldn't get this kind of SPS growth. I'm not doing anything special. I shoot for Ca of 400, and Alk of 8.0. I don't dose anything, and water change about 10% per week. I've used a variety of salts.
Also...some SPS grow big, thin, fast and fragile...while others grow thick, slow and you have to cut them with a saw. Since this thread is about starting big tanks with frags, I would recommend some Digitata to start because they grow quickly and the tank looks mature faster.
