Where Do You Buy Your Clams From?

Hello.

We don't have any good places local to buy clams, so I was wondering where you all get yours online from.

I have an established tank full of sps, lps, etc... My tank specs are in my signature.

I had a small clam in a former 75g, that died when I had a tank crash. I got it local, but I am looking for a goold place to get nice, healthy clams, and a fair price.

That is a matter of personal taste. You should be able to keep anything with your set up though. I like teardrop maximas but they are a little pricey. Croceas are cool and have some nice color/markings. Good luck and post some pics when you get one.

With that size of tank I'd go gigas.

OK I just made an order for some zoas so I had them add a Croceas that was 4" for $40. I didnt see it, but they said it was an ultra. We will see. I get it tomorrow. I'll post pics.

Oh also I would like to have a giga as well!! May try that one next.

Good choice on the ultra crocea. Gigas get really big fast and use up a ton of CA. I would recommend a good CA reactor to keep up.

Good choice with the ultra Crocea. I have one for a few months in my 90 gallon and it's doing great up on the rocks with halide lighting.

So will i need to let this clam attach to a smaller rock so I can move it around, and will it do ok on the sand?

If you want to be able to move it, place a rock underneath it. Either way is fine.
