Where do you buy your SPS?

Like the title asks.... where do you buy your SPS?

I have been waiting a long time to finally purchase some SPS. I watched this board to see some folks who had nice tanks and then matched up with the coral selling forum to see if any of them were selling frags over that time. When the opportunity arose, I purchased from a couple of guys on here who have very nice systems and very good feedback with their sales.

A few from the LFs that I think are really nice. Most from reefers and a few from ebay. 4 out of 5 times on ebay have been good. Actually the one bad was buying zoos off there.

I've seen some very nice ones here, too. Hope to be able to afford some nice ones. Just have to find a place to buy from.

I've bought a number of zoas from ebay. All of them arrived in good shape. Just the zoas weren't always what was promised... Or, let me just say that they weren't what I expected.

Best place is fellow reefers. Many around our area sell the LE pieces for 15 to 25 a frag instead of the insane price elsewhere. They also do group buys to get pieces like the Oregon Tort cheaper by buying several of em.

I would say local is better, or travel to the place and pick em out yourself. Based on the finicky nature of the beast, I believe this is one animal that you should inspect, select, transport and care for yourself as much as possible....

Get your frags from another reefer...its the best way!

most of reefcentrals sponsors are very good, reefermadness, atlantis to name a few.

Fellow reefers are the only way to go. Tons of great deals from great reefers in the propogated livestock forum.

try doing frag trades with other reefers on here...thats what I have done and am doing now....got hundreds of acros this way....

So far My stuff has come from a couple people on RC, and the majority is from a road trip i made to Dr. Mac's a few weeks ago...It was worth the 4 hour drive.

Get mine from all over, local a lfs I have known since the begining , but mostly from two places. FISHnDOC on here he has great corals, all frags but worth it, a few from a guy upstate ny, and two large colonies from a LIRA member, great guy. Personally, the fellow reefers have the best stuff. Also got from BLUE ZOO aquatics, if you mention my name MArk over there will know it, and he's a great guy.

All of my frags have been purchased from reef club members tanks except 1. I ordered it from Atlantis Aquarium. It was a nice multi branching frag, larger than what it stated.

I have bought frags here on rc, and I am lucky to have a number of good stores in the area.
