Where Do You Guys Get You Stuff?

where do you guys get your reef stuff around here. i am new tho the area. i live in west dundee, just moved a week ago and the only store i saw was aquatic reef. they are a nice little store if i might add. the staff are knowledgeable. i was there yesterday and they have a sale going on yesterday and today, i didn't get anything since i am still cycling my new tank but it should not take that long since all LR and LS came from a very mature tank. i also met another reefer in there which seems to be a very nice guy, he was there shorter than i was. i think if i remember it right his name here is kimoy. nice meeting you, kimoy. hope to see your system one day. okay besides this store, where are the other store around the area?

There is exotic aquatics on Randhal Rd half way between Dundee and Lake in the Hills.
Also there is oceans floor in Lake in the Hills off of phyott rd. Both places are very nice and have a web site if you google them.

Depends on what you are looking for. What do you keep?
Seems like store have thier niche around here. like Exotic Aquatic for fish, Ocean's Floor and Sea Schor for SPS, Dark Lord Coral for color that makes you want to cry. So what are you looking to stock your tank with?

Advanced Aquatics in Schaumburg finally has SPS frags in stock tanks. They have a really nice selection too and give CMAS discounts. I would also keep you're eye on f/s threads here. Many people sell great corals at discounted prices + you get to meet some great people. Welcome aboard!

ya, all the above mentioned places are really good. It's very easy to spend $$$ at Aquatic Reef, Ocean's Floor, and Exotic Aquatics

nope he was not PITW...he just moved from the west cost. been reefing for 30 years. is a nice guy, know what he's doing. i think he said he has a 600 gals or so that he's setting up.

Well, his posts make no sense.

As far as my week stay at the DOC, that murdering roomate watched over me, so I didn't have anyhting bad happen to me. Both her husbands were abusive & it was "self defence".
