Ive been keeping mine at a pretty steady 9.5 on my relatively young 30 gallon. Recently switched from regular IO to Reef Crystals, and mine spiked to nearly 11.6 with just one 5G wc. Anyone else had this issue? I only have 6 sps frags, i just don't want this spike to affect them in any way.

Im thinking seriously about going back to instant ocean and just continuing kalk in the top off like I've been doing to maintain calcium. Im just now getting my sps frags to start to color up, and now i switched salt and spiked the alkalinity. Just my luck. lol

Since my reboot, it's been hovering in the low 9s. I may let it drift down into the low 8s at some point, but everything seems happy for now. I don't want to rock the boat until I'm sure the ship is back on course.

I shoot for 134ppm on Hanna checker (7.5 dkh). A side note, my lamotte kit reads 150ppm (8.4 dkh) when Hanna checker reads 134. I wonder which is correct, but I guess as long as I keep it stable the actual value isn't super important

In 20+ years of keeping SPS I have found that stable is far more important than the specific level.
