Where do you recommend buying black and white clownfish?

Where are you buying your black and white clownfish? Locally or having them shipped to you?

I have seen them locally, but they are rare here. Any good suppliers anyone would recommend?

Just about any lfs worth their salt will be able to order you a black and white. While I work at my Petco and always make sure to have a few BW clowns, I know chain stores are really hit or miss on quality. they aren't as individualy unique like snowflakes, so if your lfs doesn't have them in, just have them order you one or two. Snowflakes I like wysiwyg ordering or seeing several to choose from.

Live aquaria is great I've ordered a bunch from them never a problem

+1 If you'd like to buy WYSIWYG fish, also check out Diver's Den on LA. They offer black ocellaris from Sustainable Aquatics and ORA periodically, often as pairs. SA in particular breeds really nice black ocellaris with solid-black faces. I used to have a pair and loved them.

Your local fish store may also be able to order a couple of black ocellaris (you often can get a pair, but that's usually more expensive, or just a couple of juveniles) for you from either breeder--that's how I got my New Caledonia cinnamon clowns.

There is one local fish store that had one incredible looking solid black and white clownfish. (No yellow on the nose at all). That fish was on hold/sold. This same store said they can not get breeding pairs of black and white clownfish. Another local fish store said they can get breeding pairs, but they did not have any in stock.

Thanks for mentioning Sustainable Aquatics, Diver's Den and ORA. I am looking for solid black and white clowns without yellow noses. I plan on breeding them, so I should buy a mated pair if I can find them.

Sustainable Aquatics website and ORA's website are both great. ORA has some very cool and unusual looking clownfish.

The yellow on the nose usually fades, they all start that way. But i know what you mean, I wish mine was all black already too.
