Where do you shop at?

I had bad experiences with elmers

Good experiences with aquaworld

Also I know it's a no no on this site but I've always got healthy livestock from Petco in fox chapel, I actually really like this particular petco

Reef Gallery has a bunch of BTA's.

Nice store and nice selection.

Kevin

P.S. PM me if you have anything interesting to trade.

I can't remember his pricing. He does have fair prices on most of his stuff. Give him a call (724) 971 3335

He's open 5-9pm tomorrow and Friday.

The one I have is a clone from the one in my avatar.

I want to say that the roses are $60 or $65 and the green are like $40ish at The Reef Gallery.

Elmer's usually has what I consider to be true rose bubble tip anemones (just red with no green) What I am almost certain are Sherman's rose bubble tips also what Anthony Calfo coined "Metalic Red" Bubble Tips. I want to say they are $120ish. A good friend of mine, and PMAS member, supplies them to Elmer's.

I think that I did see some multi colored bubble tips at Aquaworld recently, but I don't re-call price.

I have several different BTAs but I personally like the ones that Elmer's sells. Just personal preference.

I shop at The Reef Gallery. It's closest to my house and Adam is very kind and helpful. I've been to AquaWorld and was not impressed. When I was there, the store was filthy and the staff wasn't very friendly. Maybe that's because I'm younger and they thought I didn't know anything, but..... Not a fan.

Just out of curiosity when were you there and who was waiting on you?

I've had the exact opposite, I'm a young guy and the owner( I think) Jeff is a young guy too so I got treated great. There was also an older guy working who talked to me and my gf about aquaria for over 30 mins

For me I got treated badly at elmers by the older women who work there. And I know a lot of people love elmers. So really I guess some stores are all about timing idk..

Just my two cents

I had only one bad experience and that was at odd pets, I was in the store for 20 minutes and was never greeted or acknowledged even. I had good experiences at elmers, the coral selection is subpar but the fish selection is amazing. Aquaworld has done some major renovations and I think is also a very good shop. Most stuff is reasonable priced but I think some of the colonies are overpriced by a lot. I've only been to reef gallery twice and I was very impressed also.

I don't know I go around to all the stores. I get treated well at all of them. I frequent Aqua World and The Reef Gallery the most because of the Geographical location where I live. Greg Swiech, Sierra and I were at Wet Pets today to have them post our flyer and business cards and they were very welcoming and we ended up talking for awhile even though I probably had not been there in almost 2 years.

Each store has it's pros and cons. Some people like one over the other and that is fine. Granted I wouldn't hold a grudge over a store for past experiences that happened years ago. I guess I am quick to forgive and forget and give second chances.
