Where is the best place to drill a 180 gallon tank? Bottom or Back at the top? If you do the bottom does anyone know how make the over flow? Glass/Acrylic?

We drilled Kents tank. It is not hard just go slow and steady also what kind of tank and when do you need it by?

I thought Kent's tank was drilled? Did you guys add more holes? What size Hole did you guys drill?

I'm not sure when we need it by. It would be for Stupidsreef. He is wanting to buy a tank that is not reef ready, for a nice price. but he wants to have it drilled.. He was here helping me setup the 90 gal at the new house, and thought I would ask for him.

Hey- Didn't even know evryone was talking about me....We drilled my tank in the back for a closed loop with 4 holes across the top for returns and 2 holes about 8" up from the bottom for the pump to pull from. It's worked pretty well....What brand is the tank?

Scbadiver does good work. He built my overflow and also sump. They both are working great and I have not had any problems. Besides he will use it as an excuse to buy new tools.

Here's what it looks like so far Lon- Everything pretty much thrown in there. I'll be in the shop making the overflow covers this week....

i have some glass pieces that are 24" by 4". you think that it could be made into overflows. i would give you as many as you wanted if you made me one in return.

I guess it could be done with glass but I have never done anything, other than real windows, with glass. I usually build with acrylic. It's a little more forgiving. Also the plastic glues set up a lot quicker than silicone so the project moves along well.

well i will leave it up to you, maybe i could get it to farmer to see what you can do with it. or at the next seasl/slash meeting.
