Where is you MH ballast mounted?

I am trying to decide where to mount the ballast and am unsure. Here is what my tank looks like, with and without the Canopy

I have magnetic ballasts, they are mounted inside a electrical box and I have the box placed behind the tank (2 feet) away near the electrical outlet

I built my stand 6" deeper than my tank so I have a 6" shelf in back for ballasts and a closed loop pump.
