Where is your purple plasma?

The DQ King
Hey all,

I purchased a 2" purple plasma from liveaquaria about a month ago. All my sps have been thriving except this one. I got it and it had a baby branch coming off the base that was dead. I left it alone, but it started crawling toward the main stalk so i broke off. The past 3days the base has moved up a little.

Should i cut / glue

just glue a barrier

or leave it and see what happens this next week?

I swear its as if ORA are hard to keep in my tank if its not a red planet. lol :uzi:

Parameters are as follows:
Ca-420
Alk-10
Mg-1350
Salinity-1.025
Nitrate-0
Phos-0

Testing with API / Salifert

Doing 10g water changes on a 40g breeder 2x's a month

Right now im keeping it in high flow and medium light. It has its vibrant purple skin with green polyps. The polyps have been out and its looked happy so im confused at why its been happening all the sudden.

Thanks for the imput / suggestions :)

i have mine halfway down in a 24 inch tall tank that is lit with 6x36 ati bulbs.
medium flow.. but leaning towards the higher side.
really easy coral to keep, good polyp extension, and good growth.
encrusted the base pretty nicely too but then started growing upwards.

ORA says to do this:

Placement: Middle - Top

Lighting: Medium - High

Flow: Moderate - Strong

Ill see how its doing in a week or so. I moved it to a different spot, maybe thats the cause of this arghhh
