where should i place my sump?

i have a mak4(1100gph @0 head) and a dolphin 2100 (2200gph @0head) i have a 125 that i will set up soon and i can eather put the 55gal sump and 20 refungum under the stand about 4' heat,or in the basement about 10' head. what one would be better, pros and cons of each. i would like quiet but i dont want a chiller hooked up if i dont have to but i wanna have flow to be good. but do i wanna drill a hole in the floor ? and yes i will have a closed loop.

Put it in the basement... it'll give you a lot more room to work!
Drilling a hole in the floor is a minor task compared to the flexibility and accessibility of having the sump in your basement!

Basement! I have a 180 with a 75G sump and 30G fuge in the basement. I use a mak4 for the return and it handle 10' head just fine. Its so nice having the room to work, and the noise is all in the basement. maintenance. water changes are don in the basement, which is really nice. Also lots of room for a nice big topoff setup, etc.

i was starting to think that way also. the big thing is that any water spills that i do wile doing water changes wont be on the carpet
