Does anyone know where you can buy a Heniochus diphreutes from a reputable and trustworthy shop online? I know liveaquaria sells them but they rarely have them in stock and when they do they sell out before you can take your wallet out.

thank you for the suggestion Naraku. I was able to find and ordered a pair through Pacific Island Aquatics. First time I shop through them and had a good experience with the store. the transactions were smooth and easy. the Heniochus D. were in excellent shape and size, they ate the first time I fed them. and Kevin pretty much treats you like family the moment you meet him through email.

Indeed. I've ordered from him a number of times including last week. Always been thrilled with my purchases.

Unfortunately both H. acuminatus and H. diphreutes have a long overlapping range and most LA wholesalers and retail companies do not care to differentiate the dozens that come in at a time... usually selling them all as H. acuminatus.

The nice thing is that since PIA is based in Hawaii they get a good locally collected crop of them... only H. diphreutes is found in Hawaii, so no differentiating is required... :)
