Can anyone recommend a good place to buy captive raised RBTA's.

We're buying one tonight from a local hobbyist. I think it's a fantastic way to do it.

If you are part of a local group, you can probably post in the bst forum that you're looking for one. If not, you can always check the bst forum here on RC. The reefer I'm getting one from originally got his rbta from a reefer here on RC.

I prefer to pick one up locally, but if you're not worried about shipping then you may have a couple options

I guess my first answer may have seemed a bit short (it WAS late, in my defense ) I have purchased 3 clones from hobbyists (2 roses, 1 green) and they've all thrived, splitting every so often. I think I've sold 5 or 6 so far, I still have 4 of them. (Not selling any right now though, they're divided in my 2 tanks.) I did buy a gbta from an online retailer once. It died within hours. I chalk it up to being wild-caught and just unaccustomed to tank life. Definitely find a hobbyist and get one from them. You know it's used to being in captivity and you'll also be helping keep the wild ones wild. Check with the SoCal reefers group, I'm sure you'd be able to find someone with one to spare.
