Where to buy base rock

I want to buy more LR, but I think base rock will fit my budget better. I had been to The barrier reef in Boca, but they have really BIG base rock and are $2/lb. I think the lightest I weight was a 20 lb boulder. Are there any other LFSs sell good weight/size ratio base rocks?

Thanks!

I am looking to buy locally because of the shipping...and I don't really need live rock, just dead base rock will do.

Thanks!

Check with me, I have two large pieces of ex-liverock that I let it dry, I have been debating to put it to use or not but for now it is just sitting in the sun dry, I am sure that you could break it to fit your need, I say it is probably 25 to 30 lbs total, I will sell it to you for half of the retail price, say about a buck a pound, if interested bring your scale as I don't have one. :) (God knows I don't need one)

THE FISH COLLECTION in North Miami Beach has some. I think it's about $1.25/pounds. They have medium/small peices.

Ask for it when you walk it, b/c it is hard to find...it's kind of hidden on the floor under their tanks.

Never knew The fish collection is in NMB. I drive by it as least once a week and never notice the store. Have to check it out tomorrow morning. Thanks Jon!

Rogger, can I come take a look on Wednesday? Thanks!

is that the place where the guy has the giant australian grouper in the tub he treats like a pet dog and feeds all the dead and dying fish to? that was surreal.
