Does anybody know a good store in the Miami area to find dry pukani, fiji, or shelf rock? I want to find some nice pieces to go into the next small tank, but need the pieces to be perfect.

Thanks!

i think one of my friends told me that Beverly's pet center in broward sells dry rock for like $2-3 per pound. Very nice and clean dry rock too.

Did you all order extra? The idea of not being able to see and pick out the rocks I'm looking for...especially for such a small tank where there may be two or three total rocks...makes me nervous.

I got the pukani. I got a 65 gallon, I ordered 45 pounds. they sent me a couple of large pieces that I trimmed down to the shapes and sizes I needed them to be. I had left overs that I left in my sump for when I change my mind with aquascaping.

FWIW, the Pukani can be cut into small pieces for a nano and it still has interesting shapes. I did that with my scape, and will probably chop up some more.

Rov... If you have some shelf that can be broken into small enough pieces, shoot me a PM. Otherwise I'm going to place an order in the next week or so.

Thanks for the help everyone!

The problem is the shelf pieces are super thick. So if you break them up, they will look like bricks. You are welcome to check them out, but these would be suited for a larger tank. Breaking them up is also difficult. They are DENSE! There was only one piece of shelf that was suitable for a nano, and that one is in my tank!

gotcha. I'll just order some...thanks!
