Where to buy mantis shrimp in bay area

Well, there are a couple of shops in the San Jose area.

mojo420 works in one.

I just bought 2 in a shop here in San Francisco, a Gonodactylus Platysoma and a Gonodactylus Ternatensis.

They were marked at 20 bucks each, though i bought so much that the manager there just gave me one for free.

The shop in San Jose had better prices, as I recall.
There is also another LFS worker from the South Bay on here, he has mentioned selling them for 10 bucks or so.
I'm sure that one or both will chime in before long.

Hello Cuong,

I bought them both from 6th avenue aquarium on Clement street and 6th.

They don't have any mantis right now, as I bought both of the ones in their store.

Check back next week.

Octopus' garden in berkeley always has 4 or 5. their prices are a bit high, but they get an interesting variety in.

yeah, my store had about 4 at one time, but im down to one. incidently, mantis shrimp are my best seller. hopefully ill be able to bring my stock back up within the month. were in san jose btw.

twocoloreyes, where is your store located?, im from san jose too, and ive been unable to locate manits shrimp in a lfs, if you cant post the name and address (policy against advertising? i dunno...) just pm me
