You might be able to use other larger media but definitely not ARM because Deltec Ca Reactors are fluidized.
That's what held me back on purchasing a Deltec reactor all this time and the Rowa C+ is so freakin expensive.
It's hooked up but I tried a gravity drain and can't get the recommended flow through from the tee. If I close off the secondary drain from the same line to increase the flow, then I start getting big air bubbles from what I guess to be the Durso effect.
Right now, it's running and skimming with the ball valve closed a bit on the skimmer to raise the internal water height.
I have a feed pump that I was trying to avoid but might have to go that route. I get a lighter skimmate then what all those Deltec freaks out there get.
