Where to buy uv filtering glass

Can someone tell me where I can buy uv inhibiting/filtering glass for a metal halide fixture. the fixture has 2 double ended 250's. Thanks! Romy

Perhaps you could call one of the many glass companies in town and aske them ,they may be a better source of information.

I thought I read some where that the only thing special about the glass used for DE fixtures is that its tempered.

called "wholesale glass today. They said they can order it in for $25. I called another company that quoted me $200 for a 48X11 piece of glass!!!

romydog, stop by jaelins "ace" hardware on the right side of 94 about .5 miles down from marine solutions. They have glass pieces they will cut and sell for you really cheap. Not sure if they are tempered, but it won't hurt to check with them. -Steve

Doesn't any glass filter out UV radiation? I thought it did, but I am by no means an expert. On this matter at least!

I contacted hellolights.com and the guy I talked to said I can use any clear tempered glass. I called a local glass company and they said they can order it. Thanks everyone!
