Where to find a Regal.

Finding the yellow breasted regal angels is not easy right now. The majority of These specimens are exported from the red sea, and I do not believe collection is occurring right now.

If I were you I would focus on obtaining a healthy eating specimen, rather than just the coloration. Good luck with your search.

If you drive to Miami i'll sell you mine. Im changing some livestock and have a small regal im looking to sell. He eats everything and ive had him for about a year.

Keep an eye on www.bluezooaquatics.com. I got this Red Sea Regal 2 weeks ago.

Exportation from Yemen (where Red Sea fish are exported to us from) has been shut down after the bombs where intercepted. We will not see any importation from there for quite a while.

Anyone that's been in the hobby 5+ years surely recalls how much purple tangs used to go for... those days are back ;)

So most Regal Angels sold as freshly collected Red Sea Specimens are being falsely described?

I have been wondering where BZ has been getting its "RS" Regals.

The Regal Angels out of Sri Lanka were just like the red sea. You can also get Vermiculite Wrasses out of there as well. The Yellow belly Hippos come out of Africa and are usually available. The problem is most wholesalers dont like to bring in Africa since there is not a lot of fish that come out of there and yellow belly Hippos due to the fact that they cost a bit more and don't move as quickly. Miami wholesalers used to bring in Africa once every other month or so.

Seriously, I think the offer and drive to Miami is the best option. Hit the beach while you are there. OW, Bluezoo and DD as mentioned above, but be ready to pounce on the specimen.

Ditto. It's only a 24hr round trip or so (depending where in TN).. Not too bad. I've done South Florida to Tenn plenty of times. :D

Plus South Florida probably has one of the best selections of LFS's (aside from Cali).
