So i am looking to upgrade tank sizes and i dont know where to look for a good one, for a good price. The smallest i would like to be is 90 but 120 or 150 is what i would like but i dont know where to look for them. I would also like it to be RR.

First make sure you check classifieds on here, in the paper, and craigslist.org. I found this a few days ago

Bit of a drive for ya but you may be able to work out a deal worth your while.

If you don't want to buy used I would shop around the region at different pet stores / aquarium stores. Once you figure out what size you want ask them to give you a quote and don't be afraid to emphasize the fact that you are gathering quotes from other stores. Nearly every store will tell you they are the cheapest so make them prove it. Once you have a few quotes then you can negotiate some.

I would definitely get a tank predrilled with overflows and you may want to consider getting a 6ft tank, if you have the space, so you have six ft lighting already should you choose to upgrade one day.

One more thing, if you can find a store with a tank on display, wait a week or so and you will have a much better shot at getting a good deal. The main reason most stores don't get the larger setup is because they can take very long to sell, at least in your area, often they get sick of holding on to them and are willing to negotiate. Never be afraid to ask!

Petland in Iowa City often has larger tanks sitting around maybe give them a call and see what they have. (After your check Waterloo, CF, CR area)

Let me know how it works out for ya!

That's something your going to want to get locally. So compare prices at your lfs' of exactly what your looking for. Also local hobby clubs, Craigslist, ebay (local listings within driving distance), RC buy/sell forum, etc...
If your willing to buy used equipment then you can save a small fortune if your patient.

petco.com has a build your own tank thing and you can pick the basics for it. If you have it shipped to the store you pay no shipping.

Thats a cool link to tinker with but I think you can do better than that. Which reminds me of a tip I forgot, if you have to order it or special order you will pay much more than if it's already there. Btw I didn't even know you could get overflow tanks through a big-box store. Never seen them in the store.

Basically you pick the tank you want up to 125 gallons, and print out the order form. You bring it to the store and they will order it for you. You must purchase tank at time of giving them the order. Wait about 3 to 4 weeks and you get a brand new tank. Also when tinkering around be sure to unclick the options they automatically add to the price, the top, lights etc. this jacks the price up for something u wont need.
