Where to get Ghost Shrimp Locally

OK, thanks. How about any LFS that may sell them? I wish I lived closer to the coast and/or had more time to get them myself.

if you are talking about the freshwater feeder ghost shrimp....you can get them at ocean blue in east winter park. They have good prices on them.

I'd like to get something like Liveaquaria advertises. They are saltwater shrimp, so they live in the aquarium until they are eaten.

isnt there an online breeder that sells them really cheap? Has to be in decent amount of bulk though....like 100+ I think.

andy.. what the heck are you feeding? ghost shrimp are mostly known as a freshwater feeder, they will live in saltwater, but not for very long!

Its for a frogfish. I already have one from Liveaquaria, and it loves frozen silversides (guess I got lucky). I am looking at a second one, and they say it likes ghost shrimp. I find it odd that Liveaquariua will sell the fish, but not the food they recommend to sustain it. They are always out, and I mean always.

Thanks so far for the info, any other suggestions?

There is a store in Kissimmee called Open Oceans I think that has always had a bunch the few times I have been there.

I dont remember the name....just that I have seen them discussed. I think they did live mysis, rotifers, and other things like that.

Yeah they might be a little pricey but I have read that they can be easy to bread in a ten gallon tank with an air pump . I have bought them before and added to my fuge and tank and let me say the fish went nutz

Very awesome link my uncle had told me there was someplace aqua culturing Pompano and now I have the link. Thanks alot dillagaf_biker69

not to hijack his thread but i do believe they are now creating ( or it is already happening) a "Pompano Pond". I know some are familiar with a Trout Pond where you pay to fish. Well they are going to do that there with the pompano...guaranteed catch and cant get any fresher....extra cool for keeping kids interested when fishing. LOL....later all
