Where to get M80 ballast???

anyone know of where to get one other than Hellolights?

really m80 hqi??? i can find the m58 no problem but not the M80. I'll call around some more

ANSI M80 ballasts are not common and not widely used in North America. The only North American company that offers an ANSI M80 ballast is Advance Transformer (part number: 71A5880). Electrical supply stores that carry Advance brand ballasts can special order them but they will generally cost more because of low demand.

Thanks Paul ... I think i will have to bite the bullet and get one from Hellolights for $106.

I got two from ebay for $118 shipped, but need a third.

hehe my mistake.. i mixed up the DE and SE starters ( btw i think that a m57 will start a DE bulb but at a lower wattage) dont quote me on that

one of my ballasts in my dual 250w sunlight went out. I considered buying a replacement, then I realized I can just buy the darn thing brand new for the same price almost

110-120$ for the m80 or a whole enclosure with brand new everythign for 150...

or you can grab the dual bluewave 7 from the same guy for 220 shipped.

ANSI M57 is the standard/specification for probe start SE (Single-Ended) 175-watt metal halide. It will not work with any DE (Double-Ended) lamp of any wattage.
