where to get tank raised dwarfs?

Hi, I'm just starting out with dwarves, and would like to get tank raised, instead of wild. I live in Oregon, does any one know where I can get them, or a good online dealer?

There is that auction site EBA_. There is a seller there that does a really good job of sending them to you. I believe thier user name is DANAC. Reasonalbly inexpensive. Just make sure your are ready before ordering. Dont want to kill the ponies. It happens to alot of people when they first start out. Make sure you do your research.

do dwarves need to be fed live bbs? or can they be fed frozen foods?

live bbs; some will take frozen foods occasionally, but as far as I know, no one has been successful in training them to frozen foods long-term. The seahorses always eventually refuse frozen and you have to revert back to live.

The large species of captive bred seahorses will, like H. reidi, H. kuda, H. erectus, H. fuscus, etc. if you get them from a reputable aquaculture facility.

i only have a 10g so i don't think i can get those. what can i put in there?

Lots of things, just not any seahorses. Sorry. But unless you are willing to hatch bbs for 2-3 times daily feedings with dwarf seahorses, you won't be able to put seahorses in that tank.
