where to place chiller?

I can place it next to the tank or in the garage. The garage will get over 100 degrees during the summer months so I'm not sure if that is okay.

if you do put the chiller next to the tank be sure it's not to close. those chillers give off quite a bit of heat

a chiller has to be remote or you'll simply create a "heat loop" (ie: chiller heats room which in turn heats tank which in turn heats room even more etc. etc. etc.)
