Where to start?

I have a 4 months old tank with no experience in keeping these critters. Where should I start?

mushrooms, zoa's, green star polyps are the easiest place to start. Some of the lps are easy also to get started.

My first frag was green star polyps and i love it! It is now grown 4 inches in diameter up vertically onto some rock. Zoanthids are great. They are hardy, and come in many color morphs. I also love LPS. Some hammer or frogspawn wouuld be a good start. I also like colt and toadstool leathers.

obvious questions first, what kind of lighting do you have, and what are your tank parameters?
softies are kinda like the weeds of the reef world. i have some kenya tree on a rock i can take out, throw it in my backyard for a week, put it back in my tank and it will start growing again. okay maybe not that bad, but i'm just sayin...

Cabbage corals and xenia are good choices because they fill in nicely and do well in a variety of tank areas, ie high to low light areas.
