May i ask if this site is predominatly for the US ??? if so is a london lass {UK} welcome ?

This is the most informative site i have found so far although i am wondering if the products and specs will be relevent this side of the pond i'm baffeled by all the brand names on offer over here and so have yet to purchase anything .......

This question may seem a little blonde !!!!
would products from the states function here on our 240 v ?

thanks nene

I am not in state too! But I am here.

Most likely US (120V) product cannot be used in UK unless it states wide voltage (ie 120V-240V).

I heard that if you use some kind of transformer (ie 120V to 240V or 240V to 120V) for home appliance and cause fire. Some home insurrance company may deny your claim. Better to check before you do it.

When Americans visit London electric conversions devices make our products work .. same should hold true going the opposite direction. However ... many of the "large" mfg in this hobby are actually pretty small and don't like the hassle of shipping out of country (even Canada) - that may be a tougher issue to deal with.

ok i'll keep it simple and go for uk brands
will hunt for a uk forum for info on the best brands, wish me luck sites allready surfed either everyone is new.... no posts for weeks ....or thier all having a laugh ......... as for the rest of my research i'll stick with you guys
