Which bulb to use?

Which bulb are you guys using over chaeto? Do you put any other macro algae in refugiums?

Im wondering the same thing. I currantly have a 24 inch double bulb bulb flourescent fixture over my refuge, with some go bulbs from HD. I dont get much growth what spectrum bulbs will grow my chaeto the best?

I use a Standard Bulb over my sump. 140014STD CF23/50K/PAR38?E26/STD 5000K

you want 5000 - 6700K range from what I understand. I have had good results from the bulb listed above.. but needs to be replaced about every 8 months ( on 10 hours a day)
